After retiring at 55 (33 yrs. at Boeing), I planned to design and build an EDM machine and some solar energy systems (and I still plan to do so). But I got sidetracked when I bought a mill and lathe to support my endeavors. I needed tooling for my machines. At first I bought the wrong tooling, Then I paid to much for tooling. Finally, I figured out how to get good tooling cheap, so I bought lots of it to offset the cost of the stuff I paid too much for (seemed logical at the time). My first attempt to sell off some of my excess tooling on eBay ended up paying for all the other tooling I had bought. So, I bought more and made enough (using my own primitive website) to pay for both machines. I was hooked (I could play with lots of different tools and make money doing it). I've sold over 50,000 items, have 11,000 items currently posted for sale and another 5,300 items waiting to be posted. Just a "small" diversion from my original retirement plans.
Now I'm looking to get back to those projects I put on hold in 1999, plus a long list I've made in the interim. So I've basically stopped buying (still buy select quick turn items). If you (or someone you know) would be interested in taking Tools-n-Gizmos off my hands (website, inventory, supporting systems, etc.) for a bargain basement price, call me - lets chat.

I've been so busy with projects (Margaret Sullivan Estate is the most time consuming) that I have been sorely neglecting Tools-n-Gizmos. In fact to keep the activity level down I am blocking all search engines (except Goggle) from scanning my site and cash flow is still meeting all my needs. Now that is an SEO policy you won't hear much about from all the SEO folks promising Google page 1 (btw TnG is top of Google page 1 for several of my key search phases). Someone with the time and interest should take Tools-n-Gizmos off my plate, promote it properly and grow it into the monster it wants to be.

Tools-n-Gizmos.com has fallen completely out of favor with Google. My old fashion static html pages are not small screen friendly. Online sales are very slow which is ok with me - more time for my projects. However, I still have lots of inventory to clear out. Recently I've started dumping large lots of stuff for less then I paid for it, just to be rid of it. Examples: Over 1,000 DT collets for $1500 (my posted price was $12,287) and 42 Kwik-Switch 100 items for $275 (my posted price was $2,155).
